Vision/Mission
|
In my evaluation of the two visions were
good but the two schools need more discipline amongst the student population.
The administrators have a hold on the kids but kids will be kids and it seems
like the teachers always have to correct these students.

Office at Hitchcock ISD guided me to Chris Armacost, the Technology Leader to
learn about the technology being used at Hitchcock. His core topics were providing technology
for children that will help them in future job markets, to have in house
trainer modules, where 15-20 teachers train at the region 4 service center,
so they can give efficient technical knowledge to the students. He also stated, to meet the kids where they
are at, which is hand held devices

Action research
Monday, April 22, 2013
The main aspect of week 2 that I understood was that schools need to develop more unity as a community or colony. When you have a school that is working towards a goal or vision it sets the mark they want to reach and through teamwork and leadership I feel every school at any level can succeed. This development of unity can help students become productive citizens not only to help themselves but our country.

Antonio blog on action research
Action research is basically an interpretation of data around a question. It consists of data collection or classroom research. It is a good tool for learning what is going on in the teachers classroom.Action research usually refers to research intended to bring about change of some kind with a social justice focus. The biggest fact that I am learning from action research is to find out what is going on in the school as a whole and how the students are responding to change. One thing that I have noticed is the high demands a principal encounters on a day to day basis. Not only do you have to deal with the superintendent but also the other administrators, parents, teachers and students.Basically action research helps build a blueprint that not only administrators ca follow but set trends on how teachers can help students learn.Learning is the most important aspect in education and the quality of education makes a big difference in how students learn.Curriculum standards is a huge aspect in school and compliance to the state standards should be a high priority.i feel action research also can set a standard on enforcing advancements in technology. Most kids today have smart phones which are capable of many processes. In my action research I have seen that school technology may lean towards making education more mobile or online.
